Jump Ring Holder

The Jump Ring Holder allows you to solder your jump rings more accurately and efficiently to your stained glass piece. Holding rings with pliers in one hand can be tricky to keep the ring in place at the correct angle while soldering with the other hand, leaving the jump ring to tilt or fall off. A jump ring holder frees up a hand so you can hold the solder or solder beads and quickly apply the ring or wire to your piece.

Hakko Soldering Mat - 24" x 16"

Made from all natural grey rubber with a conductive bottom layer and dissipative top layer. Surface is a smooth, matt surface that is easy to clean and reduces glare, and features a non-skid backing. The smooth matt surface also reduces unwanted sliding or other movement of assemblies on the surface which can induce charges. The natural rubber product has a high resistance to heat, burns, and chemicals.

Sal Ammoniac is used as a tinning and cleaning agent for soldering iron tips.

To use: Heat soldering iron to temperature, and either pick up a small drop of solder with the tip, or melt a small drop onto the block. Rub heated iron across the surface of the block untill all sides of the tip are bright and clean.

The Studio Pro Soldering Iron stand is well-balanced for stability. The heavy steel coiled wire cage prevents the hot soldering iron from touching the work surface and protects hands and nearby objects. The convenient sponge and sponge-well allows for quick and easy cleaning of soldering iron during use.

How-to Use This Tool:

Assemble the soldering iron stand by removing the nut from the base of the wire cage. Insert the cage into the the hole located on the base of the stand behind the sponge well. Turn the stand over and screw the nut clockwise until snug, making sure the cage is facing forward before completely tightening nut down.
Place the small rectangular tip cleaning sponge into the well located in the center of the base. Wet the sponge before use with water.
To clean soldering iron wipe tip against the wet sponge during soldering.
