The pedal is designed to quickly turn the outer stage of the torch on and off. This is mechanical operation so the foot pedal does not require electricity.

* As a safety feature the gas lines are located 4 inches from the floor, the pedal's bottom surface.
* The unit acts with immediate response. Both the on and off operations of the torch are instantaneous after the switch is activated.
* The Rock-It is compatible with all 2 stage and 4 stud (port) torches.  All torches must have four inlets- meaning gas supply to the center stage of the torch and separate inlets to the outer stage of the torch.

The Rock-it with oxygen bypass has all of the same great functions as the standard Rock-it pedal but also has the added feature of the 02- bypass.
The function of the oxygen bypass is to allow a metered amount of oxygen to flow through to the outer stage of the torch while the pedal is in the off position. This can help achieve a more penetrating inside fire which can aid with fine stringer work, temperamental colors or keeping silver based colors clear until the desired striking time.  The bypass can also be closed to allow the foot pedal to operate in its normal function.

Introducing compressed air into the fuel mix allows for a broader range of temperatures and chemistry. This added control makes it easier to dial in a more even heat without compromising flame chemistry and can even avoid things like boiling and scumming.
Both pedals are available as a standalone unit, but can also be purchased as an add-on that fastens securely on top of our existing Rock-It Pedal using the included hardware kit.
