Ember (GGC-X53) is an experimental striking color that contains both silver and copper to create a range of oranges and yellows when worked in the flame. Ember is easy to work in all flame settings - striking can be achieved either in the flame or through a striking cycle in the kiln. A reducing flame will create buttery yellows and oranges in the glass while high oxygen will bring out hues of blue and purple. Long kiln cycles will strike the color to warm amber tones throughout the piece.
