Dragon Glass slumping molds have been designed with several unique features:

A raised "skirt" around the mold. This raises the bottom of the mold off the shelf of the kiln, allowing even circulation of heat around the mold and glass as it is slumping. The "skirt" has cut-out handles on each side, facilitating easy lifting in and out of the kiln.
The "foot ring" or foot depressions ensures that each piece of glass has a nicely finished base to give stability.
All molds contain a wide rimmed top, enabling correct placement of the glass piece. This ensures even forming and correct proportions.
